ChurchNotes (published as "Church Notes - Live Notetaker") is operated by Deadalus System. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. Questions any time: info@deadal.us.
Sermon audio is recorded, stored, and played back only on your device. Audio is never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. Speech-to-text transcription and Bible-verse detection run entirely on your device using its built-in speech engine.
To generate your structured note after a recording (and, on devices without on-device AI, the live bullet points during one), the sermon transcript text is sent over an encrypted connection to our note service and, in turn, to our AI provider. It is processed to produce your note and is not stored on our servers afterwards. We never send your audio, your name, or your photo.

If you use the app as a guest, notes stay on your device and we hold only an anonymous, device-issued credential used to prevent abuse of the note service.
All purchases are made through the App Store and charged to your App Store account. We never see or store your card details. A purchase-validation service keeps your Pro status in sync across your devices; it receives the store receipt and a pseudonymous user identifier, and we store your resulting entitlement status (which plan is active) alongside your account. See the Terms of Service for subscription details.
We use a product-analytics service to understand how the app is used and to improve it: events like "recording started" or "note generated", with counts, durations, and device type. Analytics never includes your transcript, note, or verse text, your recordings, or your contacts. We do not run ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
With your permission we send a push notification when your note is ready, and the app schedules local Sunday reminders on your device. You can turn both off in your device Settings at any time.
Synced notes are kept until you delete them. Deleting a note in the app also deletes it from our server and from your other devices.
When you delete your account (Profile, Delete account), we sign you out and wipe all app data on the device right away, and we mark your account and its synced notes for deletion. We keep them for a 45-day grace period so you can change your mind: if you sign back in within 45 days, your account and synced notes are restored. After 45 days, your account record, synced notes, and push tokens are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers by an automated process. Recordings, being device-only, are removed as soon as you delete their sermon or the app.
We rely on a small number of service providers to run ChurchNotes: identity sign-in, AI processing of transcript text, purchase validation, product analytics, and server hosting. Each receives only the data needed for its role, processes it solely to provide that service to us, and is bound to protect it.
ChurchNotes is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we make material changes we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
